Reflections and Advice:

1.) What do you think makes your school unique relative to other boarding schools?
One aspect that stands out about The Orme School is its unique approach to learning. Unlike traditional schools, here you are not confined to a single classroom. Instead, you have the freedom to explore and learn in harmony with nature. The classrooms themselves are remarkable, offering an environment that nurtures creativity and curiosity.
2.) What was the best thing that happened to you in boarding school?
Without a doubt, the most incredible part of the school was gathering with friends in the dining hall, engaging in conversations that made us realize the sheer magnitude of our extraordinary lives. It felt like we were living out our wildest dreams, akin to little Harry Potter characters, and our love for it knew no bounds.
3.) What might you have done differently during your boarding school experience?
One valuable piece of advice I can offer is to give the horses a chance. I must admit, I was initially quite terrified, but they truly are majestic creatures. Setting jokes aside, my main advice would be to remain open to the diverse experiences the school has to offer. Embrace them wholeheartedly and allow yourself to fully immerse in all that the school provides. By doing so, you'll open doors to new perspectives, personal growth, and unforgettable memories.
4.) What did you like most about your school?
I had an incredible experience at The Orme School. It truly felt like a second home, where I formed meaningful connections not only with fellow students but also with the teachers. The school has an inclusive atmosphere that warmly embraces everyone, regardless of their background or perspectives. The diversity within the school community broadens your horizons and exposes you to endless possibilities. One aspect that stands out about The Orme School is its unique approach to learning. Unlike traditional schools, here you are not confined to a single classroom. Instead, you have the freedom to explore and learn in harmony with nature. 5.) Do you have any final words of wisdom for visiting or incoming students to your school?
Make sure to take advantage of the incredible selection of board games available in the locked room at Commons. It's a treasure trove of entertainment waiting to be explored.

Academics:

1.) Describe the academics at your school - what did you like most about it?
The academic aspect of the school was truly eye-opening. With a smaller student population, the classrooms were highly interactive, allowing for direct knowledge exchange not only between teachers and students but also among the students themselves. This aspect was particularly enriching due to the school's remarkable diversity, as it exposed us to various cultural perspectives and approaches to different ideas. Personally, I found this multicultural experience to be one of the highlights of my time at the school. Moreover, the teachers at The Orme School were exceptional. Whether it was the English teacher or the biology teacher, they all shared a common trait: an unwavering belief in their students' abilities. This belief was incredibly motivating and inspiring. The teachers went above and beyond their duties, taking time out of their busy schedules to explain concepts to us, even outside of their regular class hours. Their love and dedication were infectious, pulling us in and helping us develop a genuine passion for our respective fields of study. It was truly a privilege to learn from such caring and passionate educators.

Athletics:

1.) Describe the athletics at your school - what did you like most about it?
At the Orme School, the realm of athletics is incredibly competitive, but it's not the type of competition that brings you down; it's quite the opposite. The community itself serves as a powerful motivator, urging you to exceed your own expectations. If a friend decides to dedicate an extra hour to practice, it automatically inspires you to do the same. Personally, I may not have been the most accomplished athlete, but the school provides a wide variety of platforms for learning and growth. This diversity adds to the enjoyment of the experience. Among all the sports I participated in, tennis holds a special place in my heart. The coaches were always there to provide encouragement, even when my serves required significant improvement. However, it's the incredible community that truly shines. The warmth and support of the community are particularly evident during basketball and volleyball games, making them unforgettable occasions.

They went above and beyond by making time on their breaks and even opening the art room whenever students needed it. The curriculum challenged us to explore various mediums, techniques, and artistic concepts. Whether it was painting, sculpting, or even experimenting with digital art, there was always something new to learn and discover. One of the most memorable experiences was the dedicated art week. An entire week solely dedicated to art may sound like a dream come true for any aspiring artist, and it absolutely was. The school is nestled in a picturesque ranch, located in what can only be described as a serene and secluded environment. Although it may seem like it's in the middle of nowhere, there's no need to worry about feeling isolated. The school ensures that there are always shuttles readily available to transport you whenever you need to venture beyond the campus.
